If you look at it from a financial point of view it most likely won't ruin you. 3min with 4,1kW instead of 1.4kW will cost you 135Wh if everything is drawn from the grid. |

It's not about runining anybody. It's about a behaviour during loading, that just isn't necessary. |

I noticed the following behavior with automatic phase switching:
If the charger is currently in Now mode using 3 phases, and I manually switch back to PV mode, or to Min+PV Mode, EVCC always starts the 3-minute "scale to 1 phase" timer before switching to 1 phase.
In my opinion this delay is unnecessary if it is already obvious that the available PV power is well below the minimum required for 3-phase PV charging (approximately 4.1 kW at 3 × 6 A).
For example:
Charging in Now mode: 3 phases, ~11 kW
Available PV power during Now Mode ~3.2 kW
Manually switch to PV mode
At this point, evcc already knows that 3-phase PV charging cannot be sustained. Nevertheless, it waits another 3 minutes before switching back to 1 phase, resulting in several minutes of unnecessary grid import.
Suggestion: When switching directly from Now to PV mode, evcc could immediately evaluate whether 3-phase PV charging is possible. If the available PV power is already below the minimum 3-phase threshold, it could switch directly to 1 phase instead of starting the normal 3-minute hysteresis timer.
This would reduce unnecessary grid consumption while still keeping the existing hysteresis for normal PV operation.
