Saypick 0.1.0 — the first public release under the new name.
A macOS menu-bar app for system-wide AI translation and inline rewrite.
Features
- Read — select text anywhere, then trigger via shortcut, the floating icon, or auto-detection to get a streaming translation popup.
- Write — type in your native language, hit the shortcut, and have it translated and replaced in place.
- Backends — local Ollama (auto-picks an installed model) or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (base URL + key).
- Configurable languages, per-app skip list, global hotkeys, and launch-at-login.
Install
Download Saypick-0.1.0.dmg below, drag Saypick to Applications, and launch it. The build is signed and notarized by Apple. Grant Accessibility permission when prompted (required for capturing selected text and replacing in place).
Notes
- Requires macOS with Accessibility access; the app runs as a menu-bar-only utility.
