CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION causing problems

• Yes, I have searched for similar issues on GitHub and found none.

What did you do?

I am using the latest version 2.3.0 and I am having problems with CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION variables.

I installed your system with Coolify, and after a few days, it stopped working. After searching online and changing CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION, it started working again.

But the problem with that is that I will have to keep updating CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION each time, and it's a pain in the ass.

I saw you said that in 2.3 version you can leave CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION empty and it will take the last version, but it doesn't work.

If I leave the value empty, it doesn't send messages at all. Coolify is problematic and I can't easily delete CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION value to test that as well so for now i tested it only as empty.

So that means that probably an empty value doesn't work (at least on Coolify), or you don't pull the latest version of WhatsApp well. It might have been better to also allow a value like 'latest' for CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION instead of just empty, just in case.

Other than that this app is really good, and hope there can be fix for that as well because i see many people have problems with CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION and keep updating it by myself is messy.

What did you expect?

I expected the app version to update automatically without doing it myself.

What did you observe instead of what you expected?

It's not automation and i wasn't able to find a way to fix that.

Ok, I am updating that I was able to find in the Coolify project a button called "Edit Compose File," and when I removed the CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION from there, I was able to remove the value and that worked.

But it took some time to figure it out, and it might be good for others to have the ability to leave CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION empty and have it work as well with the newest version.

I don't care as long as it works for me, but that’s just an idea that might help others who use coolify.

Pessoal, eu gostaria de oferecer automações para meus clientes, mas sinceramente não me sinto seguro em oferecer isso. Nunca consegui ficar mais que 1-2 meses sem nenhum problema com a evolution. Vocês que ofertam isso para seus clientes, como fazem ?

@vinicin7 use outro provedor de api, evolution está muito longe de ficar pronto e estável, a evolution tem muito mais a oferecer que as outras como integrações e etc, mas sinceramente nao vale a pena pela quantidade de problema que dá no serviço básico que é a troca de mensagem no whatsapp.

I have an additional question: how can I detect when it starts failing due to version issues at the moment it occurs, not some time after it happened?
Has anyone created a flow in N8N for this alert?

Tenho uma dúvida adicional: de que forma posso perceber que começou a falhar por causa da versão no momento que acontece, e não algum tempo depois de ocorrido?
Alguém já fez algum fluxo no N8N para esse alerta?

Galera tem que apagar a linha inteira do config_session_phone_version. removam ela inteira. Outra coisa tentem usar a homolog no novo repositório do docker hub: evoapicloud/evolution-api:homolog

sendMessage não funciona na 2.3.1 com ou sem o CONFIG_SESSION_PHONE_VERSION. Conhecem alguma alternativa melhor? Parece que esse problema é recorrente pelas issues aqui.
