Some NTSC games write corrupt saves on PAL Wiis. #52
Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch Jeopardy! or Wheel of Fortune (NTSC) on PAL Wii with d2x.
2. Attempt to start game, observe freezing.
3. Look in the System Menu save manager for a "???" save.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The save should write correctly and the game should continue unhindered.
Instead, these games aren't possible to play on PAL, especially unfortunate for
Jeopardy! since it's a US exclusive.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm currently using d2x v9 beta, but the problem is not new and was present in
older versions. Various USB loaders and loader settings tested, including
cfg-loader, Wiiflow and USB Loader GX. Wii is running 4.1E System Menu.
Please provide any additional information below.
The PAL version of Wheel of Fortune runs fine and is a viable alternative for
PAL users.
