Hotkey to re-use Last used Tag value

Having quick a big nr of TAGS and each of them having fewer or many keywords, I use it a lot to find back the right KW.
I do not always remember the requested KW, but do know in what 'group=tag' is is located due to some logic tag setup.

Is is possible to assign a hotkey (ex. F3) when pressed it remembers to place back in the input field the "LAST used Tag".
By that it's not needed to each type retype the same tag to get the same set of KW's for use.
Right now, each time a KW is used from the list, the total list is visible and the needed tag must be re-typed.
