Installation

Homebrew (recommended)

brew install --cask claude-usage-widget

Manual DMG

1. Download ClaudeUsage-1.2.1.dmg
2. Open the DMG and drag Claude Usage to your Applications folder
3. Since the app is not notarized, macOS will block it on first launch. To open it:

Option A -- Right-click method (easiest):

• Right-click (or Control-click) on Claude Usage in Applications
• Select Open from the context menu
• Click Open in the dialog that appears
• You only need to do this once

Option B -- System Settings:

• Try to open the app normally (it will be blocked)
• Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security
• Scroll down to find the message about "Claude Usage" being blocked
• Click Open Anyway

Option C -- Terminal (removes quarantine flag):

xattr -cr /Applications/Claude\ Usage.app

Requirements

• macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later
• Claude Code CLI installed and authenticated
