I did, but let me try again from scratch. I might have missed or messed up something

Yeah looks like a dependency issue. The installation process on macOS is pretty complicated, I still need to write an installer/instructions. It does work on my macbook though. Make sure you've installed ffmpeg and vapoursynth, and the plugins specified in https://github.com/f0e/blur/tree/master/installer

For me, I used brew to install vapoursynth and installed:

There's a macOS .dmg available now which contains everything you need to run the program.
