[GENERAL SUPPORT]: RangeParameter transformed as a ChoiceParameter so no slice plot

Question

It looks like when using the step_size option in RangeParameterConfig, the RangeParameter gets transformed into a ChoiceParameter (which I understand).
But later, it blocks the possibility of running plot_slice analysis, which is a shame.
Is there any reason why this would be unforced? Is there a way around it?

Please provide any relevant code snippet if applicable.

Maybe adding an attribute to the ChoiceParameter class like "was_range" and handling some conversion back to RangeParameter when necessary could work?
