Feature Request: Ability to hook install failures and provide a troubleshooting message

If a user is not authenticated you get a relatively verbose/ugly curl warning. I would like to be able to tell users at my company how to restore authentication to the binary assets in a message "Hey, looks like you are not able to authenticate with ... to fix this, you probably want to ... -- see [some docs]". Is there any way to hook or customize this now?

There isn't a feature for this, but I can definitely see the need. Would you be interested in working up the necessary changes in a Pull Request?

@bigfootjon potentially -- any pointers on where in the code I would do this or requirements for how this should work? I can hack something out but I don't want to make something that doesn't make sense and start over.

Really sorry it took me so long to reply, I missed the notification.

I think adding a new key here to say something like "custom_error_message" to be an optional string would be fine: https://github.com/facebook/dotslash/blob/main/src/config.rs#L38

Then update docs as appropriate
