Android Studio: Not Found

Packages: (wanted => installed)
react: ^16.0.0-beta.5 => 16.0.0-beta.5
react-native: 0.49.3 => 0.49.3

Steps to Reproduce

after running in the root directory
npm start -- --reset-cache

I invariably get the following error:

Expected Behavior

Should be able to see a splash page with an image (../../app/image/splash.jpg)

Actual Behavior

on the ios simulator

If your image is in app/images (as written above the attached image), your path is wrong.
You need to require '../images/splash.jpg' (or – going out of 'app' back into 'app' – as you have written above the image '../../app/image/splash.jpg instead of ../../images/splash.jpg)

I am closing this issue because it does not appear to have been verified on the latest release, and there has been no followup in a while.
