How to transfer FastGS to other GSs?

Thanks for open-sourcing this excellent work!

I an currently working on porting the key modules of FastGS into another 3DGS system. Compared to the original rasterization, is the only addition the 'accum_metric_counts' variable? Would it be sufficient to simply add 'accum_metric_counts' (along with corresponding function interfaces) in 'forward.cu' ?
