Upload feedback
Dropping an audio file gives no indication that anything is happening. Show immediate visual feedback — progress bar or status text — so the user knows the upload was received and transcription has started.
Background persistence
Navigating away from the note (switching tabs or closing it) kills the transcription with no warning. Transcription should persist in the background, with a spinner on the note's entry in the left sidebar so the user can see it's still processing without needing to keep the tab open.
