Details

The plugin calls the API Ninjas /v1/dadjokes endpoint and renders the returned joke in a centered quote‑card layout with a header at the top.
It’s built as a standard InkyPi plugin, so it runs on the same schedule and style system as your other frames.

API Key Setup

This plugin requires one API key from API Ninjas.

Create the API key

1. Create or log into your API Ninjas account at https://api-ninjas.com.
2. Open your API Ninjas dashboard.
3. Generate or copy your API key for use with the Dad Jokes API:
   https://api-ninjas.com/api/dadjokes

Add the key in InkyPi

1. Open the InkyPi front page.
2. Click the key icon.
3. Add a new key named API_NINJAS_KEY.
4. Paste in your API Ninjas API key.
5. Save it.
6. Restart InkyPi if needed.
