This adds support for Python 2 to the project. I also updated to remove the end of life 3.8 and added 3.12 and 3.13 while I was in the project.
Only the build process needs to update. See: https://numpy.org/devdocs/dev/depending_on_numpy.html#numpy-2-abi-handling

This adds support for Numpy 2 to the project. I also updated the code to remove support for the end of life Python 3.8 and added 3.12 and 3.13.
This changes should work on both Numpy 1 and 2. See: https://numpy.org/devdocs/dev/depending_on_numpy.html#numpy-2-abi-handling
