This module showed me how much I can achieve by staying curious, experimenting with unfamiliar tools and working through problems step by step.
I completed the exercises consistently and was among the five most active participants in class. I regularly contributed to discussions, asked questions, experimented beyond the given tasks and remained focused and curious throughout the course.
Before the module, I already considered myself comfortable with HTML, CSS and JavaScript basics. Even so, I made significant progress in a short time. A feature that I had attempted three weeks earlier without success became something I could understand and implement independently by the end of the module.
In terms of the final exercise, I planned the work in clear phases, experimented with different approaches and implemented several additional features on my own. The final website includes a Notion CMS, a secure Express backend, dynamically generated project pages, filters, downloadable files, videos and accessibility considerations. I also structured the project so that it can grow without requiring a separate HTML page for every new project.
I prepared thoroughly for the final presentation and structured it to cover all the required topics within the given time. I presented the final outcome, explained the development stack and data flow, discussed specific challenges and reflected on what I learned during the process.
I used AI as a learning companion, mainly for explanations, troubleshooting and finding a scalable solution within the limited timeframe. However, I made the design and implementation decisions myself, tested the results and worked through several iterations until I understood how the different parts were connected. The GitHub histories of both the exercises and portfolio document this development process clearly.
Considering the completed exercises, the scope and quality of the final project, my preparation for the presentation, my learning progress and my active participation in class, I believe grade 6 fairly represents my work in this module.
Self-assessed grade: 6
