hi there thanks! sorry for responding so late - this is an interesting topic that I've thought about for long - issue IMHO is that to be clearly referrable as "Audio" the icon may need also some low frequency envelope - like these :

I initially thought of including a "fixed volume" white noise icon - but gave up since it had too little signifiers of it being "audio" and not "a general random number evolution"

Interesting design topic tough - would very welcome ideas on audio signal icons that cannot be mistaken for anything else but... "audio"
