Feature: Options for Adaptive Layout

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

The ability to configure the logic of adaptive layout, or, in the alternative, modify current behavior.

Requirements

Options:

• Whether to include folders in the calculation
  • Alternative: Use the folder's (cached) layout in the count
• Percent of media files needed to use 'grid' layout
  • Alternative: Reduce the current threshold to 80% or 70%.
• Which file extensions count as media files
  • This is good if the user has a file type with thumbnails they want to be able to treat as media

This one I don't really care about, but if options are being added:

• Pick which layout is used. Mainly Details/List/Column and Card/Grid

Alternative: Reduce the current threshold to 80% or 70%.

The upcoming threshold will be 60% video, audio or image of all items in a folder
