Software filter disappears on the host's library page when selecting "Self-service" and no self-service items are available #40327

💥  Actual behavior

If you have no "Self-service" software and you click "Self-service" the dropdown disappears which means you have to go back to Software and back to Library to view the dropdown again

🛠️ To fix

Filters should be visible even if no items found when applied.

If I search for non-existent software, the search and filters are still visible, even if no results are found. It should be the same when a self-service filter is applied:

These steps:

  • Have been confirmed to consistently lead to reproduction in multiple Fleet instances.
  • [] Describe the workflow that led to the error, but have not yet been reproduced in multiple Fleet instances.
  1. Enroll any host into your instance
  2. Add several software items to the host's team (don't enable self-service for any of them)
  3. Open Host page > Software > Library
  4. Filter by self-service
