  • Removed duplicate and redundant features
  • Reordered features by order of operation from the POV of an IT admin
  • Consolidated use cases
  • Renamed some features for clarity

See this doc for more details, including methodology for the organization and styling.

@noahtalerman, please also see this alternative take https://www.loom.com/share/6ae5afa36785477ebde6701197d95726?sid=1047c63e-b78d-4847-9629-d03eed3e8879

This concept came up after I spoke with you. The idea is:

  • to display the features in a way that is use-case agnostic — categorized by function and in order of operation for an admin (as much as possible).
  • to not have such a large list under "Devices" where we consolidated all use cases.
  • to separate the security features more clearly. I'm not sure it's necessary, but consolidating vulnerability management features wasn't explicitly requested in the brief.

If you think this version is better, I have it on a separate branch here.

@nonpunctual, I'm also keen to hear your feedback on this version.

I think it's good. I think you could go with just 1 word & if you had to the word I would use for that stuff is Security instead of Security & Compliance. Either way is fine! (edited)

Hey @mike-j-thomas sorry I haven't gotten around to reviewing this yet. Have it in my TODOs for tomorrow.

@eashaw, let's take a look at this during office hours tomorrow. I seem to have introduced a lint error while resolving merge conflicts. cc @Sampfluger88

Hey @noahtalerman. We just resolved the merge conflicts on this PR. Great if I can get your review before any more creep up. Thanks.

This looks good! I committed a couple small fixes.

@mike-j-thomas and @nonpunctual I think we should move "Devices" to the top. The pricing page is for someone who's trying to decide if they should use/buy Fleet, right?

As someone considering buying Fleet I think I care most about the features under "Devices" the most.

I care less about "Deployment" and "Configuration." I'm not ready to consider deploying/configuring Fleet yet. I want to know if this thing is any good.

What do y'all think?

Approving because we can merge this as-is and then open a separate PR to move "Devices" up.

@noahtalerman @mike-j-thomas I agree with you & we debated the same thing but the ordering principle (not strictly followed) was "workflow" so, what would you do 1st as an admin. 1st, you set it up, 2nd you configure it, 3rd, you enroll devices. I think it can work either way. It's still helpful to use workflow order WITHIN the sections. Thanks!
