Use case

Someone faced the task, so that in a textfield the selected text could be moved inside the same textfield? Maybe there is some package for this? Or does anyone know how to write their own textfield?

No, my drag and drop work is focused on implementing drag and drop to and from the application and the OS. However, we probably also need to be able to drag text from one application to another, which would need this proposed feature as a prerequisite.
