ReproMin reduces a failing repository to a small, auditable reproduction while preserving the configured failure oracle.

Use this space to share:

• real reduction workflows and benchmark ideas;
• questions about adapters, backends, reports, or trust boundaries;
• lessons from integrating ReproMin into debugging and CI workflows.

For reproducible bugs, please use the issue template. For a first contribution, see CONTRIBUTING.md and the current open issues.

The latest pre-alpha release is v0.1.0.dev4. This release includes GitHub Action result-path outputs, artifact validation coverage, and the earlier artifact fix and richer payload summaries. Please remove credentials and proprietary source from examples, and read SECURITY.md before running untrusted commands.

The release includes a pinned GitHub Action (fly1d/repomin@v0.1.0.dev2), auditable report validation, and runnable offline examples for Python, Go, Cargo, Docker, FastAPI, Pipenv, and MSBuild.

If you try it on a real CI or dependency failure, please share the workflow shape and what the minimized payload helped you understand. Do not include private source, credentials, or proprietary logs.,

ReproMin v0.1.0.dev4 is now available: https://github.com/fly1d/repomin/releases/tag/v0.1.0.dev4

This release exposes GitHub Action result paths (payload-path, report-path, and artifact-name) so a later CI step can validate the minimized artifact with repomin report validate. Offline benchmark summaries now record the ReproMin version used for each run, making cross-version diagnostics easier.

The project is still pre-alpha: results are evidence for one configured reproduction, not a correctness proof or a security sandbox. See issue #11 for a sanitized real-CI pilot and issue #12 for the open Java/Gradle example contribution.

ReproMin maintainer update (2026-08-27):

The latest main CI is green on Linux, macOS, and Windows. The Action now handles stable exit-code and process-failure oracles when output text is noisy, accepts explicit privacy exclusions (ignore, ignore-path, and .gitignore), validates the artifact report/fingerprint, and exposes compact reduction facts for downstream gates. The network-free requirements-chain benchmark and contributor preflight remain part of the 477-test suite.

These changes are intentionally still on main; the next development release will wait for real pilot feedback. Please try a sanitized workflow and share what the minimized payload helped you understand. Issue #11 has the template and safety checklist.
