QLog on Raspberry Pi ?

New user question. I prefer whenever possible to use packages in the Debian/Pi repositories, but QLog is not packaged in Trixie (it is in Sid which I use for main shack machine) and would like to run QLog on a Pi for portable operations. That leaves compiling or using a Flatpack package. I see a comment that compiling on a Pi might be difficult and that the Flatback works for Pi. Is the use of the Flatpack package the recommended method for running Qlog on the Raspberry Pi and any issues running on Pi? Thank you.

There are two below how to install in on PI.

1. Flatpak
2. DEB package for ARM. However, you must not use Raspberry Pi OS, but Ubuntu for PI.

I tried compiling QLog on a RPI a long time ago, but the problem was that Raspberry Pi OS did not include a package required for the Online Map. I do not know what the situation is now, as I have not tried it for a long time.

I do not recommend any specific package format, as the choice depends on each user’s preferences, and available options.

However, Flatpak introduces application-specific limitations that are not caused by the application itself, but by the Flatpak sandboxing architecture. This mainly affects file access, because a Flatpak application runs in an isolated environment and can access only selected parts of the host system unless additional permissions are granted.
