Callsign disappears when calling a DX in a split via VFO-B

What happened? How can it be reproduced? Provide as much information as possible.

The effect is that when calling DX in the split with VFO-B the entered calling will disappear

Suspect this is unintended side effect / possibly way the VFO-B is handled.

It is know side-effect of Rig's feature - QSY wiping. If you often run split, you'd better turn "QSY wiping" off.

Everything is possible — just need to have the time capacity for it.

By the way, your proposal probably wouldn’t work, because the PTT state is obtained with delay. So the “smart” solution is nothing more than properly implementing split detection, adapting the internal structure accordingly, and then we can start talking about implementing "smart QSY Wiping".

Another time where this is an issue with no easy solution other than disable 'QSY Wiping' is with WSJT or other apps running with the 'Fake It' split where it changes the frequency back and forth, then the RX and TX frequency changes. So you couldn't even say just wipe if the RX frequency changes.

Closed because the issue is known/discussed before. And yes when working with WSJTX qlog either Rig or Fakeit mode goes strange.

For me is not an issue as I use gridtracker for 6m/digitalmodes. Anyway - I know how much energy it takes to wok on this and don't expect anything. I know I have skills to potentially to improve code but no energy after writing code during the day.

Without knowing what CAT status QLOG sees, this seems like a relatively simple enhancement - only wipe the call if the RX frequency changes (not TX frequency). I hope this remains an open issue, although it may not be the highest priority.

@ValtsS I tried to implement split mode detection. As a side effect, it might also resolve this issue. The change is designed so that it does not affect the database.

Would it be possible to send you an EXE file for testing? I have a rig that does not detect VFO A/B via omnirig, so I’m not able to fully test it myself.

If the change will not work, it is possible to revert simply by reinstalling the official version.

P.S. I am most likely missing something, split mode detection is pretty stright forward with the author's library of Omnirig
