Write-Ahead Log (WAL) is a transactional mechanism for writing data from an in-memory cache to NATS KV.
Instead of writing each individual change directly to KV, operations are grouped into transactions and published to NATS JetStream streams. A separate process (TransactionCommitter) then applies them to KV sequentially.
