Error using fooof: fit>_reset_internal_settings (line 254)

I get the following error on matlab 2025b with fooof installed via pip in python 3.11

Python Error: ValueError: The truth value of an array with more than one element is ambiguous. Use a.any() or a.all()

Which version of fooof do you have installed? If it's not the most up to date version (v1.1.1) then try updating to that, as I think it might fix it.

The source of this error is, I think, an update in numpy which makes it stricter in terms of how it deals with arrays. I think this is fixed in the newest version of fooof. Alternatively, you could try down-grading your version of numpy to get a version before things changed there.

Hello,
I confirmed I am using v1.1.1. I have also created a conda environment using the following yml file but I still got the same error. I tested different version of numpy, but 1.21.6 was the oldest.

I have found a solution to this problem.

1. By making sure the frequency and psd vectors are both row vectors and not column vectors.

2. By using the updated fooof script from Fix: for matlab2025a and later #36
