“Use Selection for Find”, “Find Next”, and “Find Previous” are missing in the Edit > Find menu

I’m using Fork version 2.67.0 on macOS and it seems like the menu items mentioned in the title have gone missing. This is the Edit > Find menu in Fork right now:

I don’t know when they were removed, but for comparison, here’s that submenu from TextEdit, which contains a lot more menu items:

I rely on these keyboard shortcuts a lot to navigate to the same places in the code between Fork and other contexts (Xcode, GitHub) and without them, this doesn’t work anymore. Any good Mac app that deals with text should have these commands and removing them after they were there makes Fork feels broken. Please add them back!

We needed Cmd+Shift+G for 'Create Tag', so we removed the menu. Cmd+F still works.

Would it be an option to bring back the commands and just remove their keyboard shortcuts? That way, people who want to keep using the system default shortcuts can at least assign them again using System Settings (in Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts…). Even though I realize that creating tags is a common operation in Git apps, it is something that I personally rarely do. Using the commands in the Find menu is something I do dozens of times every week.

The fact that ⌘F still works is nice, but that is not something that helps in my case. What I do a lot is for example this:

• Look at a diff in Fork
• Select a line of text
• Hit ⌘E for Use Selection for Find to put it on the Find Pasteboard
• Switch to Xcode or GitHub in Safari
• Hit ⌘G for for Find Next

This jumps directly to that line in the other editor. Without ⌘E in Fork, this doesn’t work.

Could 'Create Tag' use something else? Stealing Cmd+Shift+G from 'Find Previous' is seriously stressing my muscle memory. I search diffs way more than I create tags.

I agree that it’s not a great idea to use a system default keyboard shortcut for Create Tag, but at least there’s the workaround I mentioned above in System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts… and with that you can get back the default shortcut:
