[Feature request] downloading gifs as .gif

Everytime I download .gif files via "Save to Gallery" the application downloads me an .mp4 file without sound, not a gif, and I always convert this file back to .gif via ffmpeg -i 'VIDEO_FILENAME.mp4' -f yuv4mpegpipe - | gifski -Q 75 -r 60 -o GIF_FILENAME.gif - in termux. Why not automate this process and add a "Save as .gif" feature to Forkgram? For example, when you tap the "Save as .gif" button, a window with a file name imput will pop up (custom file names are useful when thumbnails are not available), automatically convert downloaded .mp4 file to .gif with the name entered earlier and save it to "/storage/emulated/0/Movies/Telegram/gifs". This feature will be very usefull

(I'm not a Forkgram developer, I just checked the issues before reporting mine and this caught my attention.)

I'm pretty sure that modern GIFs in chat windows and socials are videos without sound, not actual GIFs. Somebody decided to use the wrong name for that concept and it stuck.

You actually made me research a bit. I didn't know that you can create an actual GIF with more than 256 colours in a single frame...

Still, I think this is a very niche use case. You're recompressing a video that was already compressed and then dumping that into a lossless format. Aren't the files larger with less quality?

Well, those files will be larger, of course, but it's convenient to have an option to send locally saved .gif files. And i can't rely on built-in cloud .gif saving option, mostly because of it's restrictions.

Yet, in some channels, default .gif sending is forbidden, but it's allowed to send gifs as files, they will anyway look as normally sent gifs.
