App stuck on chats screen until switching tabs

Description
When opening the app, the main chats screen does not load properly and remains in a blank/skeleton state. The content only loads after navigating to another tab (e.g., Contacts) and then returning to Chats.
Steps to reproduce
Open the app
Land on the Chats tab (default)
Observe that the chat list does not load (only placeholders/skeleton UI visible)
Navigate to Contacts (or another tab)
Go back to Chats
Expected behavior
Chats should load automatically when opening the app.
Actual behavior
Chats remain stuck in a loading/skeleton state until switching tabs.
Workaround
Switching to another tab (e.g., Contacts) and back forces the chats to load.

Device: Pixel 9 Pro
OS: Android 16
App version: 12.5.1.0
Additional notes
Issue happens consistently on app launch
No visible error message
UI appears responsive, but data is not fetched/rendered until tab switch
