Is it possible to require at least one of a group of checkboxes to be checked?

Yes, if you use the "grouped" feature:

Explicitly grouped:
<?= Former::checkboxes('foo')->grouped()->checkboxes(['A' => 'foo[1]', 'B' => 'foo[2]'])->check('foo[2]') ?>

Auto-grouped due to name ending with []:
<?= Former::checkboxes('foo[]')->checkboxes(['A' => 'foo[1]', 'B' => 'foo[2]'])->check('foo[2]') ?>

Long-syntax for hard-specifying values or other attributes:
<?= Former::checkboxes('foo[]')->checkboxes([
    'foo' => ['name' => 'foo[0]', 'value' => 'XX'],
    'bar' => ['name' => 'foo[1]', 'value' => 'YY'],
]) ?>

Then you should be able to use the normal Laravel "required" rule on "foo" to make at least 1 required.
