Naming feedback: should we keep OpenOrbit?

Hi,

OpenOrbit is still a very early project, and we are taking a moment to check
whether its name is a good fit before we build too much around it.

We found a number of unrelated projects using “OpenOrbit” or similar names,
including one in the local-first AI space. This is not a legal conclusion or a
rename announcement. We simply want to avoid avoidable confusion in search
results, GitHub, and future documentation.

Before deciding anything, we would appreciate your honest thoughts:

• Does “OpenOrbit” feel clear and memorable for this project?
• Have you come across another OpenOrbit project that could cause confusion?
• If we ever changed the name, what should a new name communicate?

The project itself would stay focused on local, recurring AI evaluation,
supervision, evidence, and approval gates.

There is no decision yet. We are opening this discussion early because changing
a name is much easier now than later.
