Describe the Bug

I've been using Pangolin for a while now, and really enjoy it, and decided to deploy it on a few edge clients. i.e. Android phones, tablets, etc.

I've noticed that when I leave the office (disconnect from WiFi) my VPN drops, and glitches out to the point where the app is unresponsive and I can't kill the VPN without doing it from system settings.

I cannot enable always-on VPN in settings as mentioned in #12 which may be part of the problem.

When I "hop" networks things tend to go awry, and to reset, I have to kill the VPN from settings and flick it back on.

Environment

• OS Type & Version: Android 10.0.0 - Sonim XP8
• Pangolin Version: 1.15.1
• Gerbil Version: 1.3.0
• Traefik Version: 3.6.7
• Newt Version: 1.9.0
• Client Version: 0.1.7

Use case: Punching SIP traffic over VPN. (Works great! Except for these small hiccups!)

To Reproduce

Connect to VPN via app, switch networks. (WiFi -> LTE, WiFi -> WiFi, LTE -> WiFi)

Expected Behavior

Connection should not drop / app should not hang.

I see the same issue, but only transitioning from wifi to cellular, when switching networks this way it gives me 'The server seems to be down'.
I am using the pangolin SaaS (app.pangolin.net).

Client version: 0.1.10
Newt version: 1.10.4

I see newt is trying though:

Server shows as disconnected in the app.

Strangely, going from cellular to wifi, then back to cellular works perfectly but I don't see this in the logs.
It seems to only occur if I start the connection on wifi first for me.

I will check this weekend how it behaves on a different wifi network.

If any further info is needed please let me know.

I tried a different WiFi network, and see the exact same behaviour, if I start the VPN on Wi-Fi and transition to 5G it stops with same error/logs as above. If I start the VPN on 5G, it seems to have no issues moving between Wi-Fi and 5G no matter how hard I try. Not sure if that is helpfull.
A workaround that works for now as a result of this is just starting the VPN on 5G, then reconnecting Wi-Fi.

Can confirm using the latest Android app version 0.1.11 and a self-hosted instance. But for me, even when I start the VPN with 5G and then switch on Wifi the connection drops. After that, I cannot get the VPN to connect again. After quite some time it seems to have connected, but then it just drops the connection again. This goes on in an endless loop.
