Version 14 of Foundry Virtual Tabletop introduced Scene Levels, and A House Divided is the adventure we would have invented them for. The Raventree Estate is a tangle of three-story manors stacked floor over floor and splintered across three planes of existence - exactly the kind of map that Levels was built to handle. For this release we have rebuilt the entire estate, consolidating the old per-floor Scenes into single, continuous manors that your party can climb, fall through, and cross between without ever breaking the spell.
A Manor Made Whole - Scene Levels
Each manor is now a single Scene with its floors stacked as Levels, so a token can walk from the Parlor of the Shadeward Manor up to the Lord's Chambers without ever leaving the map.
Every manor - Ruined, Shadeward, Feyward, and the Sanctums - reassembled as a single multi-level Scene.
Moving between floors is now a single step through a Change Level region, in place of the old Teleport-region Scene swap at every staircase.
New balcony, gangway, and mezzanine tiles, with surface regions cut open above the staircases and galleries so the upper floor sits genuinely open over the one below, with hover-linked fades that lift it cleanly away as you look beneath.
Reworked staircase walls and landings so vertical movement and line-of-sight is accurate on every flight.
Stepping Sideways - Transitions Between the Planes
A House Divided is, at its heart, the story of a single estate fractured across three planes. Crossing between the Ruined, Shadeward, and Feyward manors is now a smooth, atmospheric Scene transition rather than an abrupt swap - a small touch that does a great deal to sell the feeling of stepping sideways out of one reality and into another.
A New Coat of Paint - Textures, Tiles, and Lighting
With the manors rebuilt, we took the opportunity to refresh how their art is delivered and lit.
Updated and newly cut tiles across all manors to fit the layered Levels and the holes between them.
Rubble and crystal effects have been migrated to V14's ParticleGenerator for smoother, more performant ambience.
Small point sources in the Shadeward Manor now use Adaptive Attenuation for softer, more natural falloff.
Bringing Your Game Forward - Upgrading from Version 13
If you have a game in progress, the importer will carry it forward into the rebuilt estate.
On import, player tokens are relocated onto the correct Level of their new single-Scene manor.
Fog of War is migrated per-level so explored areas stay revealed, and dead tokens keep their slain state.
Stale combat encounters tied to the old per-floor Scenes are cleared out during the move.
Future re-imports can continue to make use of the new 'Preserve World State' toggle.
Journals, Quick-Start, and Quality of Life
Each floor's journals have been consolidated into a single journal per manor with one category per floor, and every cross-link across the module has been updated to match.
A new Quick-Start gets you into the adventure faster.
Duplicated Scenes now render correctly.
A Ravenous Host of Bug Fixes
Repaired the broken journal styling so the adventure's journals render correctly again.
Fixed the Shard Stalker macros.
Fixed the Shatter Form and balcony macros errors.
Fixed the Ruined Manor balcony collapse macros and resets.
Fixed an issue with PIXI basePath on route-prefixed installs.
