• Expand doctor to validate agent working dirs and common tmux/cron pitfalls
• Better schedule run output capture + clearer status states
• A minimal "first agent" example config template

What would be most valuable for your workflow?

Sharing from our production experience running 12+ agents daily:

1. Remote agent management
Our biggest gap right now. agent-manager only sees local tmux sessions. We're building envd to bridge this — WireGuard P2P + SUI for peer discovery — but agent-manager itself should natively support agent status EMP_0002 --remote ec2-node without needing envd.

2. Agent health beyond "session exists"
Currently doctor checks if the tmux session is alive, but doesn't know if the agent is actually responsive (vs stuck in context overflow, waiting for input, or looping). Ideas:

• Check last output timestamp in the pane (idle >30min = warning)
• Detect common failure patterns: "context window exceeded", "rate limited", "402 Payment Required"
• Expose a simple health score: healthy / degraded / stuck / dead

3. Task queue / assignment history
We track agent assignments manually in heartbeat-state.json. agent-manager should have built-in:

• agent assign EMP_0002 "QA PR #123" → records assignment + timestamp
• agent history EMP_0002 → shows recent tasks + outcomes
• Idle detection: agent finished task but wasn't reassigned for >2h → flag

4. Agent cost/token tracking
We have no visibility into how many tokens each agent consumes per task. Even rough estimates (context window usage, session duration) would help optimize task routing — send small tasks to cheaper models, complex tasks to stronger ones.

5. Graceful agent rotation
When an agent hits context overflow, we manually delete the session ID and restart. This should be automated: detect overflow → save state → start fresh session → resume task.
