🧠 second-brain

A personal knowledge management system living on GitHub. Ties together notes, plans, retros, writing, and engineering projects—so nothing important lives only in your head.

What's in here

  • Daily Projects: Day-level focus logs and context, organized by date
  • Weekly Notes: Planning, goals, and backlinks; weekly anchors for reflection
  • Meeting Notes: Conversations captured with timestamps and action items
  • Snippets: Weekly accomplishment summaries (Ships, Collabs, Risks, etc.)
  • Executive Summaries: Distilled updates for leadership
  • Projects: Multi-week initiatives with milestones and resources
  • Self: Personal context—assessments, performance reviews, goals, personality insights
  • Feedback, Transcripts, Templates, Archive: Supporting systems

How it works

See .github/copilot-instructions.md for the full operational playbook. TL;DR: daily captures flow into weekly summaries, which bubble up into retros and exec communication. Everything is wikilinked for discoverability.

Getting started

  1. Clone or fork this repo
  2. Run ./bin/new-daily-focus to scaffold your first daily focus log
  3. Configure your timezone and writing style in CLAUDE.md
  4. Optionally install Claude Code for AI-assisted workflows
