Hello, i would like to help to continue this overlay. But i'm still a beginner at writing ebuilds. |
|
For me it is too much to handle besides all the volunteer work I already do. |
|
I can help continue this overlay and step up as co-maintainer or maintainer if no one else wants to do it. |
|
I sadly won't have the time for a (co-)maintainer position, but happy to help with a docker setup that could be used instead of the currently used VM setup. Thank you for your work so far @fsvm88. ❤️ |

@lannuttia @tmak2002 I have created (with Claude's help ofc :) ) all the docs covering maintainership and releasing in the wiki . If you're still interested, if/when you can give it a read, let me know whether you're missing something. (I'm not throwing things over the fence, but perhaps you two can try to handle the next release while I'm away and gain some experience :) ) If you're ok with it, I can add you with |

Hey @joostruis @vadorovsky @lannuttia @edannenberg and others :)
Just wanted to let you know that I'll be off for vacation until 11th September.
I won't be able to release this week's and next week's tags until I'm back.
For the future: I'm slowly migrating away from Gentoo, both in my daily work and my free time, so I won't be daily driving this overlay as I've done for the past 2+ years.
If any of you wants to step up as co-maintainer and/or take this over, let me know.
I can document the processes for bumping and maintaining :) Normally it's a couple hours of watching the bump script run, a quick check of justfile/Cargo.toml changes if any, and a PR review before merging it :)
