[Bug] auto follow mouse and window management seems regress or broken in latest version (tiled)

Description

i finally be able to reproduce the issue, that i'm experiencing for a while
so the problem was, the auto follow mouse didn't working after you manually re-enter / move the windows position (change zone) in tiling mode
also those windows if minimized kinda got freezed ?
and extra windows keep pushed back (shouldn't it became floating by default ?

• i use reset default + make custom layout from master stack (only to set the default ratio to 0.75 + 2 non master zone only)

open question, about the scrolling mode, while it's good, is there a way to replicate what niri does? but in kde xD
i do like niri inf tiling, but niri itself not complete desktop (one of my app didn't work there) ._.

Expected Behavior

focus follow mouse working without issue
minimized windows will free the zone so other windows active can occupy it
and also extra windows didn't get floating ?

Steps to Reproduce

1. reset default
2. enable tiling mode and follow focus mouse
3. open several window
4. drag with Alt hold (default keybind) to move some windows to different zone
5. minimize the windows

i want to report additional things as well, some of my windows is automatically thrown to other monitor sometimes, when switching from virtual desktop
2 > 3 was fine, but 1 > 3, (which is 1 = active tiled mode, while 2 and 3 is not assigned / no modes)

also one additional notes, incase i miss it
after the re enter / move the windows with ALT
the focus is kinda STICK to that windows, so auto focus is kinda not working i guess, you need to manually click to change focus, and when you move to another windows, it's automatically pointed to that sticky windows 🫠

somehow i can track down the issue, it seems because of this things

using reorder on drag wont trigger the bug
but using the floating on drag will trigger the bug, seems it's conflicting with the option for something else ?

also moving windows from non assigned to tiled zone, will trigger the bug as well, the focus will be pinned to the moved windows

and some windows in non assigned, somehow got "keep above of other windows" and when the service stoped, it's normal 🫠

okay, it seems fixed the drag issue
but i think i just found a minor issue XD

in this vids, i already changed the config so, drag to floating
then this bug happens when you dragging windows, press ALT (should be change to re-enter mode) but decide to not re-enter aka release the ALT, then the windows size just got bigger itself 🤣 (this might be me nitpicking tho)

in this vids, i showed on VD non assigned, and it seems auto follow mouse is leaked ONLY for the initial app opened, so like
i just opened dolphin and terminal, those 2 affected with auto follow mouse
but when i minimize and restore the windows (both) again, the auto follow effect is gone

nah nw ~ take your time, it's quite stable enough with latest version (tile mode)
also what about my question for the scrolling side? what is the direction you'll take ?
from what i've seen, what you did was actually kinda hide the windows in bottom ? (visual side) from last version (not the current), CMIIW tho

Part of the churn is cause of scrolling, since they share a lot of code.

Niri is a compositor so they have more leeway in what they can do. I do park windows waaaaaaay off screen (below) so there's no chance of windows bleeding to other monitors. What this gives me is proper multi monitor support.

Nothing really changed there between versions. Just some bugs that made the parking obvious. I've replicated probably like 90% of Niri's behavior. Even to the point of tabs. Only big thing missing is overview/workspace stuff (next version) and gestures/trackpad (no laptop unfortunately).

oh, i thought you kinda made it with inspiration like karousel did (keep the windows outside the monitor target horizontally), yeah proper multiple support is best.
