Hmm this should have been fixed with .17. I'm on vacation this week sadly so this will have to wait till i get back :( |

I can confirm that this bug is fixed with version 3.4.19 [master], thanks @fuddlesworth |

The "ghost" layout persists in other conditions: when I move a window already tiled to another virtuall desktop with different layout either using the shortcut ctrl+meta+shift+right/left or using virtual desktop overview meta+w: compressed.webm |

Still working on this and your other issues. Ended up having some massive bug fix PR that fix a lot of stuff. |

Fixed in 3.5.0 (#1121). Moving a snapped window to another desktop with KWin's own shortcuts or by dragging it in the Overview now puts it in the matching zone of the layout that desktop runs. Closing this, but reply here if you still see it on 3.5.x. |

Description
Hi,
First at all, thanks for this awesome tiling, i'm very happy with it :)
I experimenting some issues or weird behaviour for the PlasmaZones (snapping, tiling, moving, selections... ), some of them are minimal or imperceptible, but they degrade the user experience a little bit. This is one:
I think that apps remember their previous tiling layout in general, this is good, however the user can setup different layouts for different virtual desktop, here is the conflict, when the app try to remember its tiling (using snapping) it layout not match with the current layout where I open it, and that is bat, because there are two layout in the same virtual desktop, the official, and the layout used for apps that remember its layout.
I record the issue, this is only one user case, but there are more when a virtual desktop has a "ghost" layout:

Thanks,
Xavi
Expected Behavior
I expect that by each virtual desktop should have only one layout (only one) and all windows in that virtual desktop must respect that.
Steps to Reproduce
