Description

A weird behaviour of a Snapping mode: Moving a floating window to another virtual desktop go to auto tiling. See the video below, moving Dolphin to another virtual desktop using the kwin shortcut access (ctrl+shift+meta right/left):

Expected Behavior

A floating window must preserve (at least in snapping mode) the floating condition between virtual desktops

Steps to Reproduce

1. Set any layout
2. open any floating window
3. move it to next virtua desktop with ctrl+shift+meta right/left

I experienced some unexpected behavior with PlasmaZones. Some of it seems to be caused by bugs, while other issues are simply related to configuration. I think this happens because some of the default settings, for example for snapping and tiling, feel a bit unusual or unintuitive to me. I really like that the app offers so many configuration options, but IMHO, it might be worth reviewing the default settings for all modes to make the experience smoother and more intuitive for new users.

There are a lot of options. This one isn't enabled by default. You must have turned it on at one point.

It is kind of weird if you are thinking about it from a snapping perspective. It basically makes snapping act like auto tiling except that it auto populates the layout zones in order instead of using an algorithm for window layout.

In general, default settings are set to closely mirror the other major players: hypr, krohnkite, niri

yeah my fault sorry, and yes, I don't like the super auto-tiling desktops, the idea of snapping is really good because is something in between normal and tiling desktop.
