[Bug] Snap Assist not showing up in specific configuration

Description

I have two monitors: 1 landscape on the left (primary), 1 portrait on the right. I am using a 2-row layout on the portrait monitor. Whenever I snap a window to the top zone on the portrait window, Snap Assist does not appear for the bottom zone. However, when I snap a window to the bottom zone, Snap Assist appears on the top zone. I've tried different windows of different applications to no avail. I've also tried changing layouts back and forth on the portrait monitor to no avail as well.

Expected Behavior

I expect Snap Assist to appear for the bottom zone.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open two windows on the right/portrait monitor with a 2-row layout
2. Snap one window to the top zone
3. Observe that Snap Assist does not appear for the bottom zone

This is by design if i see correctly. Let me know if i'm wording this correctly.

• You have snapped multiple windows to the bottom
• You snap another window to the bottom -> snap assist shows for top -> you can cancel that
• You snap a window to the top -> snap assist doesn't show (you still have windows snapped to the bottom)

I'm experiencing this issue when I do not have any windows snapped to the bottom zone. Essentially, 2 free-floating/non-snapped windows on the same monitor, I snap one of the windows to the top zone, the bottom does not show snap assist.

Edit: I forgot to mention that this behavior does not occur on my primary/landscape monitor. I tried reproducing with the same layout (2-row) on the landscape monitor and snap assist shows up for the bottom zone. So it seems like it's related to specifically the portrait monitor somehow.

Thanks for the edit. That helps narrow this down a lot. I HAD a fix that i hadn't made a release for, but looks like that broke it even more.

This will probably just be in 3.0. I'm deep into complete refactors and gutting code.

No problem, it's not a huge deal for me. I also just want to say I appreciate all the work you've put in to this project! It has been very helpful for me transitioning to daily-driving Linux coming from Windows and FancyZones :)

Fixed in v3
