TERMS_OF_SERVICE
Effective Date: June 14, 2026
By using SPCBot (the "Bot") in your Discord server, you agree to the following terms:
This bot provides severe weather alerts, forecasts, and AI-driven environmental summaries sourced from public platforms, including but not limited to:
- National Weather Service (NWS) & Storm Prediction Center (SPC)
- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
- Other publicly accessible meteorological sources
SPCBot is intended for situational awareness and hobbyist use only. It is NOT a life-safety device.
- Do not rely solely on SPCBot: Always consult official agencies (e.g., NWS, NOAA) and maintain multiple redundant methods for receiving severe weather warnings (e.g., NOAA Weather Radio, WEA mobile alerts).
- No Guarantees: The bot owner and developers are not liable for any missed, delayed, or incorrectly formatted alerts, nor any actions taken based on the data provided.
- All data shared is publicly available and attributed to its original source.
- Users must not redistribute or republish data from this bot without proper attribution to the original source.
- AI-generated summaries (e.g., the
🪄 AI Analysisfeature) utilize the Google Gemini API. Weather context is processed by Google subject to their Terms of Service.
Users must not:
- Use the bot to spread misinformation or misrepresent data.
- Abuse the bot’s functionality (e.g., spamming commands or triggering excessive API calls).
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or exploit the bot’s infrastructure.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how server logs and command data are handled.
The Bot is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis. The developers expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind. In no event shall the developers or operators of SPCBot be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Bot.
- These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the bot implies acceptance of changes.
- The bot owner reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user or server violating these terms.
For questions, feedback, or data concerns, please open an issue on the SPCBot GitHub Repository.
