Changes

  • Fix GUI app icon and name when running: the window now matches its .desktop entry (org.openeffects.OpenEffects), so GNOME shows the proper icon and "OpenEffects" name in the dock instead of the fallback icon and raw app-id.
  • Daemon now closes when the GUI app is closed.
  • README/docs/packaging updates.

Packages

Three components, each as deb / rpm / Arch .pkg.tar.zst (amd64):

  • openeffects — GTK4 GUI
  • openeffectsd — daemon (virtual camera)
  • openeffectsctl — CLI

Install the daemon plus whichever frontend you want.
