This method is also useful if you're trying to connect multiple devices to your server, as you only need to copy/paste the code after you generate it for your local ipv4 address (or public). This eliminates needing to go through and slowly type with the cursor in PSO's network configuration. Just leave it blank and copy over the code. |

Did the tapserver BBA ("PSO GC on Dolphin" in newserv's readme) not work for you? That's generally the preferred way of running newserv and Dolphin together on the same machine, since it doesn't require AR codes or any additional software. If it didn't work, please submit a bug report. Separately, there may be reasons to use the HLE BBA instead anyway (perhaps the player sometimes plays other games that use the BBA and doesn't want to switch adapters in Dolphin's config), so I could include these codes. The readme is already very long and tapserver should suffice for most use cases, so I may just add the code templates to ar-codes.txt and mention it in the readme instead. |

Good afternoon,
Long time fan of PSO, recent fan of newserv (mainly as a proxy to quickly change servers on whatever device I play on). New to github in general, so I apologize if this is the wrong place.
I would like to suggest adding to the readme the Action Replay codes for connecting to localhost as the (HLE) adapter is by far the easiest to configure as you don't have to install a VPN and tap adapters just to play on the same machine as your server. I understand it might have not been added because you didn't know these codes and/or were unable to test but don't worry, I came prepared after succeeding in a test.
Connection Guide for Dolphin using "Broadband Adapter (HLE)" and the connection codes with AR (tested on build 2512):
If you are trying to connect to the same machine as your server using dolphin or having issues with error 102 on dolphin, (which is a DNS error when your version of PSO is trying to connect to SEGA's servers), this guide is for you.
Note: I included the codes as a separate file because they might have a use outside of this guide.
Feel free to modify the guide as needed and I don't really need credit since all I did was compile information. I mainly did this for me and wanted to share the information in case anyone else is having trouble connecting to a localhost. I feel like the codes are easier to change than editing PSO's built in network save file.
