Workspaces

Seven workspaces plus the library, the Catalogue, and the live tools. Each entry links to its full reference in the User Guide.

Studio

  • MAKE generates audio from one form. Text-to-audio, audio-to-audio, inpainting, and continuation all condition the same generation, alongside the microphone recorder, the Chimera fusion stack, templates, saved prompts, and the async job queue.
  • Generate adds cloud and real-time engines: Suno in simple, custom, cover, and mashup modes, and Magenta RealTime 2 text-to-music with MIDI-note and audio-style conditioning.
  • EDIT is the multi-track timeline: per-clip waveforms, move and cut, a snap grid, a live per-track mixer, trim and fade handles, inpaint from editor, and commit to one stereo WAV.
  • MIX is the effects and mastering stage: a 24-effect FFmpeg chain, Quick Master macros, process history, and the six-family Edit Tool Stack.
  • TRAIN fits LoRA adapters: eight adapter types, layer filtering, interval gating, SVD bases, and autoencoder round-trips.
  • LEARN renders the genealogy graph in 3D and 2D with a layered SVG DAG and lineage edges for every remix, inpaint, stem split, Chimera blend, and Suno cover.

Performance

  • DJ runs two decks with beatmatch sync and key-lock, EQ, filter, and trim, hotcues, loops, slip, and quantize, a per-deck FX rack and master limiter, live stems, cue output, Automix, a sampler bank, MIDI-learn, URL import, and Design Mode.
  • VJ drives the VJ-9000 engine: a 3D reactive terrain, camera sources including phones and Quest headsets, a GLSL shader source, an ASCII effect, cymatics and depth-cloud sources, source banks, a GPU effect chain, Autopilot, recording and transcode, and a watch-link broadcast.
  • Controllers and XR bind hardware and headsets: a roughly 110-profile library with auto-detect, learn-by-capture, Controller Vision, and the theDAW-XR circuit of hand-tracked MIDI, passthrough streaming, co-located multiplayer, and the MIDI Reactor.

Tools

  • Library and Catalogue: a disk-backed library with search, sort, and favorites, inline playback, play counts, the SUGGEST playlist, and the cross-provider Catalogue gallery with a lineage panel.
  • Notation and Score: MAKE SHEET to MusicXML, guitar and bass tabs, arrangements, ABC, PDF, and SVG export, and prompt inference.
  • Bottom panel: the spectral analyzer, piano roll, step sequencer, media bucket, the SLIDE control surface, and Details.
  • Footer, log, and assistant: the player footer, the processing log, and the multi-provider assistant with RAG over these docs.
