The Light Calendar is defined strictly through these solar events:
- Winter Solstice
- March Equinox
- Summer Solstice
- September Equinox
The midpoint between:
- solstice (min light)
- and equinox (equal light)
This produces four equal-length light quarters.
Light change per day (dL/dt) explains the seasons:
- rapid increase → Waxing Light
- high plateau → Peak Light
- rapid decrease → Fading Light
- low plateau → Darkness
