We use the ParserNG in report-generic-chart-column-plugin jenkins plugin: https://github.com/jenkinsci/report-generic-chart-column-plugin#changing-build-result.

It is a lot of (worthy) reading. Long story short it serves to monitor the performance regression. The plugin provides values, user supplies equations, ParserNG evaulates equations. Plugin then changes the job according to results. In addition - for embedded or custom functions, it can provide explanations of equations to logs which is extremely useful if results are processed by some LLM.
