GenD Society 1.6.0
What's new in GenD Society 1.6.0
- The GenD dashboard is on by default. Your wp-admin opens on the GenD Society dashboard. "Switch back to standard WordPress" returns you to the normal WordPress admin at any time, and you can switch the dashboard on again whenever you like.
- Connect from the Integration Hub card. Connect, Reconnect and Disconnect now open in a popup from the dashboard's Integration Hub card. The popup shows your connection details (site, group, install ID and owner). Reconnect lets you link the site to another of your gend.me groups.
- Your plan, Compute Gas and Backups on the dashboard. After you connect, the membership card shows your plan with an UPGRADE button that opens gend.me's Change Plan page in a popup. The Compute Gas and Backups panels show your current values, and their buttons open gend.me.
- Fewer pages. The separate Connect, Plan & features, Groups and Feature Suite pages were removed. Old links to them now open the dashboard.
- Member profile updates. Profiles get a clearer tab strip (including Commissions), a refreshed Contracts area, a portfolio and resume builder, profile video backdrops, Memberships tabs with joined-group cards and search, and a clear empty state on Invitations.
Nothing in the plugin is locked behind a plan. Plans only decide what gend.me provides.
Updates keep working as before: every package is verified (SHA-256 checksum and Ed25519 signature) before it is installed, and update checks start only after you allow gend.me connections.
GenD Society 1.5.1
What's new in GenD Society 1.5.1
- Choose a plan on gend.me. "Choose a plan" (or "Change plan") now opens your membership's own Change Plan page on gend.me in a popup window. Your admin page updates when the change is done. The separate plan launcher was removed, and the plan comparison is now read-only.
- Disconnect warns about billing. If your site has a paid gend.me plan, the Disconnect section reminds you that the plan keeps billing after you disconnect, with a link to manage or cancel it on gend.me.
- Simpler menu. The Features menu (Shortcodes, Code Packages, Updates) was removed from the wp-admin sidebar and the frontend bar. Existing links to the Features and Shortcodes pages still open, and Plugins and Updates stay in their usual WordPress places.
Nothing in the plugin is locked behind a plan. Plans only decide what gend.me provides.

What's new in GenD Society 1.5.0
- Your plan in wp-admin. GenD > Plan & features shows your gend.me plan, its price and its renewal date.
- Choose or change a plan. Plans open in a gend.me window, and your admin page updates when the checkout finishes.
- Feature Access card. Each area is shown as Included, Upgrade (with the plan that unlocks it) or After migration.
- Plan comparison. Compare the gend.me plans side by side.
- Group plans carry over. If your business group already has a higher plan, your site inherits it.
- Groups and Feature Suite pages. These gend.me pages now open inside wp-admin, shown with the plugin's own templates.
- Refresh. A Refresh button fetches your plan again from gend.me.
Nothing in the plugin is locked behind a plan. Plans only decide what gend.me provides.

GenD Society 1.4.0
What's new in GenD Society 1.4.0
- Connect your site to a gend.me business group. Log in to gend.me, pick or create a group, and approve. No purchase is needed.
- Pairing codes for group admins. On gend.me, group admins can get a pairing code, with a short link and a QR code, from the group page. Groups without a paid site show a "Connect your WordPress site" link.
- Connected card. Once connected, the GenD Society page shows the group and its owner, and lets you transfer ownership.
- Disconnect. Disconnecting revokes the connection on gend.me first.
- Reconnect. If gend.me no longer recognises your site, a Reconnect notice and button appear.
Updates keep working as before: every package is verified (SHA-256 checksum and Ed25519 signature) before it is installed, and update checks start only after you allow gend.me connections.
GenD Society 1.3.1
What's new in GenD Society 1.3.1
- Clearer update status before you connect. The Plugins and Updates screens now explain that GenD Society checks gend.me for updates only after you allow gend.me connections on the GenD Society page. Until then, no update check is made.
Updates keep working as in 1.3.0: every package is verified (SHA-256 checksum and Ed25519 signature) before it is installed, and the plugin keeps its folder and stays active through the update.
GenD Society 1.3.0
What's new in GenD Society 1.3.0
- Signed automatic updates for the full build from gend.me. WordPress now finds new GenD Society versions on gend.me and offers them on the Plugins and Updates screens like any other plugin. Update checks only start after you allow gend.me connections on the GenD Society page.
- Every update package is checked before it is installed. GenD Society verifies each package's SHA-256 checksum and its Ed25519 signature against the key built into the plugin. If either check fails, the update is refused and nothing is changed.
- The old GitHub-based updater is removed. Updates now come only from the signed gend.me feed.
- "View details" shows the changelog for the new version before you update.
- Compatibility: the "Tested up to" value is reported the same way as on WordPress.org, so WordPress 7.1.x point releases are no longer marked as untested.
The plugin keeps its folder and stays active through the update.
