MuMuManager CLI Menu

This wiki is the place for the roadmap, the current status and longer-form documentation. The canonical files live in the repository; pages here summarize them and link back to them.

Getting started

Requirements

  • Windows 10/11
  • PowerShell 5.1+ or PowerShell 7+
  • MuMu Emulator 6.x (tested on V6.7.1, minimum supported 4.0.0.3179)

Install from Git

Other options

  • Release ZIP from the Releases page — unpack and run mumu-menu.ps1
  • Node wrapper (only from the repo root, delegates to PowerShell): node mumu-menu.cjs or npm run menu

What the menu does

  • Emulator control — launch, shutdown, restart, clone, delete, rename, batch operations for all instances
  • Apps and settings — list apps, install/uninstall APK, clear data, force stop, root toggle, virtual environments, frame rate
  • ADB tooling — file transfer [AF], screenshots and screenrecord [AS], interactive shell [AH], command runner [A]
  • Backups — export .mumudata, backup/restore instance data, ZIP compression, rollback [RB]
  • Spoofing (own instances only, explicit confirmation) — device model [DM], SIM operator [SIM], random IMEI / Android ID / MAC [DI]
  • Logs — static files plus adb logcat snapshot / live stream / filter [G]
  • Security tooling — GitHub token manager [K], VirusTotal key [VK], self-signed code signing [CRT], VT scan [VT]
  • Updates — self-update from tagged releases with SHA-256 verification [U], dry-run plan [UP], integrity check [F], update journal [J]

Troubleshooting quick hits

  1. Script will not run — check Mark-of-the-Web: Get-ChildItem <folder> -Recurse -File | Unblock-File, or launch through [U] / bootstrap-update.ps1.
  2. MuMu not detected — [IN] choose the active install, then [DIAG].
  3. Update failed — [F] verify files against the release tag, [ST] install status, [J] update journal; restore from backup\<timestamp> with [RB] if needed.
  4. Cannot decrypt .github-token.dpapi — do not decrypt the blob by hand. Re-enter the token via [K]; it is a DPAPI blob (CurrentUser) and does not move between machines or users.

Security

Vulnerabilities are handled privately — see SECURITY.md for the reporting channel (GitHub Private Vulnerability Reporting), response times and safe harbor. Documented capabilities (spoofing of your own instances, ADB control, token storage) are not vulnerabilities.

Roadmap / status

  • v10.0.0 — current stable milestone: unified version markers, reorganized documentation, Pester suite green.
  • Archil disk persistence experiment (archil/, archil-storage.mjs, archil-token.ps1) — experimental, lives beside the MuMu work and is packaged separately; not part of the MuMu release.
  • Continuous — PSScriptAnalyzer and Pester CI gates, weekly release guard with ZIP/SHA-256 byte comparison, VirusTotal scan of every release, Dependabot updates for actions.
