Release v1.6.44 - DM Push Notifications

🔔 New Features

Push Notifications for Direct Messages

Direct messages now trigger local push notifications on Android and iOS devices, similar to popular messaging apps.

Features:

  • 📱 Local push notifications when DMs arrive from other devices
  • ✓ Verification badge shown for cryptographically signed messages
  • 🔇 Respects notification settings (sound, vibration, enable/disable)
  • 👆 Tap notification to open DM conversation
  • 📝 Smart message truncation (100 chars) in notification preview

Technical Details:

  • Only activates on mobile platforms (Android/iOS)
  • Integrates with existing EventBus architecture
  • Subscribes to DirectMessageReceivedEvent
  • Fires DMNotificationTappedEvent for UI navigation
  • Skips notifications for own messages and synced messages
  • Uses flutter_local_notifications v18.0.1

📋 Permissions

Added POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission for Android 13+ (API 33+)

📦 Installation

The notification service initializes automatically on app startup. No configuration needed - it respects your existing notification settings in the app.
