This release is focused on updating dependency management for development efficiency and improving the build clean-up process in alignment with the release focus on local ESLint integration and simplifying dev workflows.

Dependency Management Updates

  • Changed the @fjell/eslint-config devDependency in package.json from the npm registry version (^1.1.3) to a local file reference (file:../fjell-eslint-config). This enables direct development and testing against a local ESLint config, supporting quicker iteration and integration with current local changes in lint configuration.
  • Removed the previously used versioned dependency entry (^1.1.3) for @fjell/eslint-config from package.json to ensure only the local reference is present.
  • Deleted .kodrdriv-link-backup.json, which was used to track the old @fjell/eslint-config versioned dependency, as it is no longer necessary after the switch to local linking.

Build and Script Changes

  • Updated the clean script in package.json to use the Unix rm -rf dist command instead of rimraf dist. This change assumes a Unix-like environment and removes the requirement for rimraf in development scripts.
  • Removed rimraf from the devDependencies section of package.json as it is no longer used.

Implications and Notes

  • Environments running the clean script (npm run clean) must support Unix shell commands (rm). This may affect cross-platform compatibility, particularly on Windows systems where rm is not natively available without additional setup.
  • Developers who previously depended on the published npm version of @fjell/eslint-config should now ensure the local config is present at the referenced path for development and linting.

No user-facing features or production code changes are included in this release. All changes are limited to development tooling and project configuration.
