[Feature Request] Emby Playback Reporting widget

Description

This is something I already implemented for myself and now I want to follow the process and see if there is interest for this widget being merged into the code base.

I present to you, the Emby Playback Reporting widget:

Emby Playback Reporting Widget

Plugin Prerequisite

This widget requires the Emby Playback Reporting plugin (Emby.Plugin.PlaybackReporting) to be installed on your Emby server. The endpoints used by this widget (user_usage_stats/PlayActivity and user_usage_stats/HourlyReport) are not part of Emby core — they are only available when the plugin is installed.

You can find and install the plugin from the Emby plugin catalog by searching for "Playback Reporting".

If the plugin is not installed, the widget will display a helpful error message.

Display Modes

The widget supports three display modes:

Mode	Description

global	Global statistics showing total hours watched and listened across all time

Options marked with — in a mode column have no effect in that mode.

Why some options don't apply to hourly mode

The hourly chart aggregates playback data across all users into a single dataset broken down by media type. Since there are no per-user bars, excludeUsers, userColors, and highlightWeekends are irrelevant. The hourly chart uses alternating background shading on every other hour instead of weekend highlighting.

days

Valid values: any positive integer (e.g. 7, 14, 30, 90). Defaults to 14 if not set or invalid. In hourly mode, this controls how many days of history are averaged to produce the per-hour values.

In hourly mode, only Movie, Episode, and Audio are supported. Other media types are ignored.

excludeUsers (daily mode only)

A list of Emby usernames to permanently hide from the chart. Has no effect in hourly mode since the hourly chart does not display per-user data.

A map of username to CSS colour value. Has no effect in hourly mode (media types use fixed colours).
